Study of physiology and anatomy are clubbed with principles of osteopathic medicine to offer learning to students. Students opting for this course do internship for one year and get a chance to gain some experience in pediatrics, family medicine, obstetrics-gynecology and internal medicine. To gain specialty training in any area, students can opt for 2-6 years additional training and internship courses.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine ( OMM )

Additional training can be taken by DOs in maneuvering the muscular and skeletal system of your body i.e. system connecting nerves and bones with muscles. This study can train an osteopathic student in dealing better with injury or illness. Also they can study the impact of injury in one part of the body and its influence on other parts.
